i filed bankruptcy nov 2 can i legaly apply for credit the bankruptcy is discharged jan. 2nd 2010?

i want to try to get a new car but i don't know if i can try to apply for credit right now..the bankruptcy will be discharged jan. 2nd 2010

1. If you qualify, the loan terms would be horrible. Getting a new car with a very high interest rate is probably not the best way to begin the fresh start that Chapter 7 gave you.
2. Sure, just expect an interest rate of about 17%.
3. well most credit cards and even secured credit cards will want you to wait for at least 12 months, good luck finding a bank that will accept you, you might have a better chance with a credit union.
